Last Sunday we had the eighth race of the season.
In the season standings we have a very close battle between
Towz-T and Monkfish for the season winner.  So winning
this race is crucial for both racers !!

Sadly we had only 6 racers at the start of qualifying..

Monkfish took pole with a time of (1:02.14)
Closely followed by towz-T (1:02.49).
Third time went to Hanziboy with (1:03:94)
followed by Xtian(1:04.18), SLO_Scatter(1:06.60), and
SLO_Knuckles(1:08.46)

The total race existed of 2 stints of 22 laps with 1 forced pitstop.
The race can be driven with one set of tyres so most of them
started with full race fuel and went for a very short pitstop.
Most of them also took their pitstop after the first or second lap.
Which means an enormous profit when the Safety Car has to come
out against those who have not yet taken the forced pitstop.
On the other hand, if those racers take damage and have to come
in again, the first pit was a pure waste of time.

Race 1 events :

0:48.20 - Scatter gets his right side tires on the grass causing
him to lose control and go nose-first into the tires at the turn 4
chicane.  Scatter has to pit to fix damage to his left side
suspension.
1:25.12 - Monkfish got caught speeding in the pitlane when he was
making his mandatory pitstop... He did his Drive-Through on the
next lap.
4:59.20 - Knuckles got up in the dirt after exiting the turn 9 chicane
causing him to lose control and slide into the pitlane wall. He had
heavy damage to the left side of his car.
6:50.85 - Scatter was the first driver to need the SC after he
dipped his left rear tire in the dirt after turn 5 causing him to
lose control and slide all the way down to the tires in turn 6
which then flipped his car.
9:34.80 - Hanziboy needed the SC after the curb at turn 5 upset his
car, and he went sliding into the guardrail and flipped.
12:39.25 - Monkfish got it all wrong going the the turn 1 chicane
and slammed the tire barrier flipping his car, SC #3
16:40.81 - Knuckles got on the throttle a little too hard coming
out of the turn 9 chicane causing the rear of his car to come
around, Monkfish just barely got bumped by the nose of the spinning
Knuckles, but it was enough to spin Monkfish.  They both recovered
and continued.
25:56.54 - Scatter got his right side tires on the grass coming out
of the turn 4 chicane causing his car to spin all the way to the
wall, where his car disappeared into the void.  Scatter's car was
reset by the game(sim).

1. 7Ktowz-T (GRATZ !!)
2. liveforspeed.be-XT
3. Monkfish
4. Hanziboy
5. SLO_Knuckles
6. SLO_Scatter

Race 2 events : 

0:28.27 - Some minor contact going into turn 1 on the first lap.
Knuckles clipped the tires and spun around hitting the wall with
the back of his car... racing incident
1:28.52 - towz-T got his tires in the dirt just enough to cause him
to spin towards the pit entrance. He did his mandatory pitstop
while he was in the vicinity. ;-)
3:10.30 - Monkfish drifted a little wide in turn 3 getting on the
grass which caused him to spin the car at the turn 4 chicane.
4:02.34 - Knuckles caught the tires in the turn 1 chicane causing
him the spin around in front of XT, who was right behind him...

4:44.65 - XT got back on the throttle a little too much coming out
of turn 7 causing him to lose the back of the car.
10:39.16 - Hanziboy lost his car coming out of the turn 1 chicane
after dipping his tires in the dirt.
10:55.71 - Scatter lost control after bouncing over the curb in the
turn 4 chicane.
11:10.54 - Knuckles lost control after hitting the tires in the
turn 1 chicane.
13:52.49 - Scatter spun his car after turn 2
14:11.39 - Knuckles lost control of his car after hitting the curb
in turn 5.
14:44.75 - Knuckles spun again when the curb between turns 7 and 8
upset the car causing him to spin.
16:50.82 - Scatter got in the grass going to turn 8 and hit the
guardrail.
17:56.57 - Monkfish just touched the dirt after coming through the
turn 9 chicane, but it was enough to send him for a spin.
19:15.67 - Scatter got it all wrong trying to go faster through the
turn 1 chicane and spun his car.
20:21.24 - Scatter lost it again in between turn 7 and 8 because of
riding the curb, and it unsettled his car causing him to spin.
23:08.26 - Knuckles spun his car coming out of turn 2. Not sure if
it was too much brake or he got back in the throttle too soon.
23:40.90 - towz-T runs out of fuel on the last lap while leading the
race. He might have been able to coast across the line, but he
chose to pit for a splash n go which dropped him to P4.  The reason for the
strange increase of fuel consumption in his last lap is strange, and is under
investigation by the Car manufacturers.

So Monkfish can take 2 points out of the lead of Towz-T in the season standings,
but the fight for the season winner still stays open until the last race !!

Also the place for 3rd place in season points stays very close between Xtian, Hanziboy,
SLO_Scatter, Jyuetsch and SLO-Knuckles.
