Sunday we had the first practice session of Season 6 of the Liveforspeed.be league.

We had 3 races of 15 laps, no forced pitstop with the UF1 on AS1.

It was a lot of fun, because with those slow cars you always have close battles.
But we also could see that we have had a break.
A lot of racers making some mistakes.. But that's why we have those practice sessions.

These are the mistakes some made during this first session:

1. Just pushing people off in T1.  Remember, you have more fuel, cold tyres, cold brakes....
Don't try the impossible in T1 and ruin the others race !!
If you are indeed faster you have 15 laps to prove it. Don't prove you can drive someone off...


2. Brake in time... Don't use other cars to "make it" through the corner. 
Don't change your braking point because you are in a battle.  This often means losing it in the corner
and mostly taking someone out too.  DON'T KAMIKAZE into the corner !!

3. Don't keep on blocking faster drivers.  You have permission to change position once in a battle.
Once you take that position (left or right) you stay there till the next corner.  So you don't change from
left to right to left....

4. Know if there is a racer next to you...  Use the buttons on the wheel to look left or right or use tools to know whether another racer is there.  LFSRelax is a good tool (pit spotter) to tell you when someone is next to you.

So don't close the corner on him.

5. When driving someone off track.. .. WAIT !!!!!  The only way to solve the conflict immediately. 
If the other racer does not resume the race immediately you can continue the race.
Waiting does not mean you are clear of penalty or warning.

6. Don't talk during the race !!!!! Discussions are ALWAYS for after the race !!! 

I hope this re-freshened the way we drive around here.. Main goal is having fun !!!  Not to frustrate
one another.  Better to be 3rd clear than 1st leaving two cars behind in the gravel.
