This Sunday we had the last race of Season 5, again a race with the BF1 monster.
This time Aston GP hosted the spectacle and last race of season 5 and we had more heroes who dared to drive that devil down the track.
Also Swammy took his place behind the racing wheel again that weekend.
And this race still is important for the final standings of season 5.  With only 5 points behind, Jyuetsch is hungry to take 3rd place away from Hanziboy.  And looking at the practice time tables Hanziboy knew he was not as fast as Towz-T and Jyuetsch .. The problem is that with a 3rd place finish for Hanziboy and 1st for Jyuetsch.  Hanziboy would lose 3rd place by 1 point .. 

During Qualify Towz-T was more than a second faster then Jyuetsch.  3rd Position and more then 3 seconds slower was Hanziboy. Then we had Xtian and SLO_Knuckles.
SLO_Scatter and Swammy were not able to put in a fast lap.

The race was for 38 Laps and so all drivers needed to come in twice for fuel.  Strategy will come into play if they have to decide to put on fresh rubber too.
The test race gave a blown tyre on last lap.  So they have to decide to go slower but lose less time in the pits or faster and more secure but lose extra time during the tyre change.

Race began bad for Towz-T where he missed the start and had to start from the back.  In his anger to get up front he just drove Swammy off track and did not wait for him...
Luckily Swammy did not expect to much of this race and continued the race because he knew he could use the practice.. Good on him !!!

In front Jyuetsch took the lead through turn one.. He knows he has to take every second from Townz-T, because he is clearly a lot faster on this track.  But halfway around the track Towz-T is already back in 3rd place.
Hanziboy realizes he will only lose time if he holds up towz-T and also knows Towz-T has to win this race to increase his luck of holding onto his 3rd place standing.  So when Towz-T is close to Hanziboy he get's off the throttle to let him pass easy.. And he can chase one leader... Jyuetsch.

In Lap 5 Towz-T is ready to overtake Jyuetsch (J) when a software error of Jyuetsch's car sends him into the wall and the Safety Car is called for the first time. During the restart J loses the car again on his cold tyres, but luckily without damage.  But putting him even farther behind. But after Lap 9 he already had unlapped himself from everybody except for Hanziboy and Towz-T when the Safety Car is called out again by Scatter. Also heavily damaged SLO_Knuckles had to call for the SC in the same lap.  Towz-T loses first place to Hanziboy when he was warming up his tyres a little to aggressively as he went on the grass. But with the momentum he could preserve 2nd place.

After the restart J took both Hanziboy and Towz-T and unlapped himself completely.  So if a Safety Car would be called out now, he would be back in the game!!!  But towz-T did not let that happen so he hunted him down.
So for 3 laps in a row Jyuetsch could not pull away and drove 3 laps with blue flag warnings  !! Penalty for ignoring the blue flag is 20 seconds, but Towz-T did not complain about it so he get's away with it.  Again Hanziboy let Towz-T pass easily because he knew towz-T should be in front of J to preserve his 2nd place.
On lap 14 towz-T (T), Hanziboy and SLO-Knuckles went for their first pitstop.  And so J was unlapped again.. but of course he also needed to pit soon.  This also placed Xtian in second position because he also did not visit the pitbox yet.  Swammy was doing fine at 4th position followed by J, SLO_Knucles and SLO_Scatter.

One lap later J comes back out of the pits just in front of T and only one lap later J let's him pass and Hanziboy retakes 2nd position when also Xtian goes to the pit to refuel.

In Lap 19 the Safety Car is called out again caused by SLO_Knuckles. At the end of that Safety Car, leader Towz-T slows down far below the 120 km/h speed, J has to brake hard and Hanziboy has no place to go and drives J off the track.. A situation that could be avoided when all would drive more constant at the end of the Safety Car procedure.  J tries to make up ground as soon as possible and floors it before the leader is restarting..
So he hits Xtian, but J does not brake and pushes Xtian off track ...avoidable conflict. that results in a warning for the next 2 official races.  Knuckles and Scatter are diving in the pits.  

On Lap 22 Jyuetsch is right behind Towz-T, when Towz-T takes it too wide landing hard in wall collecting a lot of damage and forces him to makes repairs in the pitbox. so Hanziboy takes the lead again with a very large lead on Xtian, Towz-T and Jyuetsch.

Nothing else happens and things were looking fine for Hanziboy until Scatter calls for the Safety Car.. for Hanziboy this probably means victory will not be for today.. because now not only Towz-T but also unlapped Jyuetsch are back into play.. right behind in 2nd and 3rd place.. During the following laps Towz-T and Jyuetsch  can overtake Hanziboy.. and after a few errors made by Towz-T, Jyuetsch is at the back of Towz-T..  In the last lap Jyuetsch can overtake Towz-T taking back the start position.  So Hanziboy is almost certain of losing his 3rd place standing.. 

Leader Jyuetsch and 2nd place Towz-T are starting the last lap really close to each other when they go for T1.  Strangely both racers were making the same mistake, coming in too hot on the long corner sending them both into the gravel.  Towz-t can continue but Jyuetsch is stuck and has to call out for the Safety Car. The fact that this was the last race results into a finish under yellow with a victory for Hanziboy.. At last his first official race win !!  Towz-T ended 2nd with Xtian as 3rd, then followed by SlO_Knuckles and SLO_Scatter.  Swammy finally had to give up racing on lap 17 when he forgot to check his fuel gauge and ran out of fuel.

We would like to congratulate everybody who was brave enough to drive the BF1 during the last 2 races . Also the other racers participating during Season 5.  Now we have some open races during the holidays before the start of Season6 in the beginning of January.
